The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek continues to set the standard in the subcompact SUV segment, combining versatile performance, confident all-wheel-drive capability and advanced safety technology in a practical, adventure-ready package.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Crosstrek has been named Best Subcompact SUV in the AutoTrader Awards. AutoTrader’s panel of more than 20 automotive experts recognized the Crosstrek as the model they would be most confident recommending to friends and family, standing out in a highly competitive segment.
Every 2026 Crosstrek comes standard with Subaru Symmetrical Full-Time AWD, providing confident traction and stability in changing road and weather conditions. The standard 2.5-litre SUBARU BOXER engine produces 180 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque, while the new Crosstrek Hybrid delivers 194 horsepower and a combined fuel economy rating of 6.5 L/100 km.
The new Hybrid Limited also introduces Subaru’s self-charging hybrid system, combining a 2.5-litre Atkinson-cycle engine with electric motors and a 1.1-kWh lithium-ion battery. There’s no need to plug in—the system automatically manages gasoline and electric power depending on driving conditions.
Safety remains a defining feature of the Crosstrek. The 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award, the highest award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
Every Crosstrek also comes equipped with Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, offering features such as adaptive cruise control, emergency braking and lane-keep assist.
